Gene

Gene began his engineering career at Leidos after earning his B.S. in Engineering from James Madison University. He worked in mechanical, production, systems, and project engineering before advancing into leadership as deputy director and ultimately director of engineering, where he grew the team to a record size while managing programs, proposals, and technical execution. He then joined Bridgewater College to help launch its engineering program, establishing labs in machining, welding, electronics, and mechatronics. Now pursuing a graduate degree in Engineering Management at Ohio University, he serves as Engineering Practitioner in Residence while continuing research and consulting through GEKO.

Kody

Kody also started at Leidos after graduating from James Madison University with a B.S. in Engineering. He progressed from mechanical and structural engineering into leadership, managing the structural team and then an interdisciplinary team as an integrated team lead. He later led development of a high-altitude, long-range aircraft program as the chief engineer, adding business development and proposal leadership. Today, as director of engineering, he guides strategy, people, and programs while expanding the division’s portfolio and international reach, and continues independent research and consulting with Gene through GEKO.
